OUR PROGRAM

Established in 1974 as an initiative of ASEAN, the DARMASISWA program has evolved into a global bridge, inviting students from over 135 countries to explore the vibrant tapestry of Indonesia’s language and culture.

Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya (UWKS) offers a comprehensive Summer Course Program in 2024, designed to provide students with a rich academic and cultural experience. This program is tailored for international students, aiming to enhance their knowledge and skills in various fields while also offering an opportunity to immerse themselves in Indonesian culture.


KNB (Kemitraan Negara Berkembang) Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship provided by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia, for international students from developing countries who desire to pursue their bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree in Indonesian universities.

Student mobility encompasses exchange student programs and international internships, facilitating educational and cultural exchange as students study or engage in internships in foreign institutions or organizations. It offers the chance to experience different cultures, educational systems, and languages while expanding academic knowledge and developing intercultural skills.


Staff mobility involves programs promoting the exchange of academic and research staff across institutions and countries. It includes postdoctoral positions, research stays, participation in international seminars, and guest lectures. Postdocs gain research experience, collaborate, and contribute to cutting-edge projects.

Through this program, students, faculty, and staff have the opportunity to participate in various activities such as study abroad programs, research collaborations, and cultural exchanges. The program also provides support for visiting scholars and delegations, as well as assistance in developing new partnerships and initiatives.


The UWKS BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers) unit was formed to help foreign speakers learn Indonesian effectively and efficiently by experienced trainers. The UWKS BIPA program offers various levels, from beginner to advanced.

Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme is the flagship international capacity-building initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, established in 1964. Over the years, more than 200,000 participants from 160+ countries have benefited from ITEC’s world-class training in both civilian and defense sectors.
